Lead and Teaching Pastor
Kurt Brochhausen serves as lead pastor for MOReCC and is primamrily responsible for teaching, leadership and Elder/Deacon development.
Kurt has a passion for all things Recovery. After serving at several area churches in various roles as minister to youth, children, singles and associate pastor, in 2009, Kurt, his wife Bonnie and a small group of believers began to pray about planting a church in Leesville. While there are many great churches in this area, this small group of believers strongly felt a different kind of church would be helpful to reach many of the people in the city not associated with or served by a church.
Kurt's hope and prayer for MOReCC is that they become a body of believers that live and grow in authentic community, see themselves as missionaries sent to serve the people of Leesville and beyond and through prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit are enabled to share the Gospel with those around them, especially the hurting, neglected or marginalized and all to the Glory of God.
Kurt is married to his best friend-Bonnie and they recently celebrated their 32th anniversay. They have 2 adult children, Kristofer(28) and Alexa(26). Kristofer married his precious wife Leslie in Oct 2011 and they live in Houston, Tx. Alexa married their most favorite (and only) son-in-law Chris and they live in Baton Rouge, LA.
